Kwail-ŭp Map Poster & Print
Kwail-ŭp is the administrative seat of Kwail County in South Hwanghae Province, North Korea. It lies in the west of the country, where low hills meet the rice-growing plains that make Hwanghae one of the main farming regions on the peninsula. From above, the town is compact, with a small grid of streets and open land all around it.
Cultivated fields surround the settlement, divided into regular parcels by irrigation channels and farm roads. The hills rise at the edges, wooded or terraced, and roads wind through them to connect the town to the rest of the province.
Detailed mapping of North Korea is limited, so a Kwail-ŭp map poster is necessarily simple: a small town centre, the lines of its main roads, and the textures of fields and hills. That restraint suits a minimalist print, where the space around the town matters as much as the streets.

Paddy plains
Irrigated rice fields spread out around the town, divided into neat parcels by channels and farm tracks that give the land a fine geometric texture.
Low hills
Hills rise at the edges of the plain, with roads curving through them, marking the transition from farmland to the rougher terrain beyond.
