Central grid
Around the main square, streets keep a roughly rectangular colonial pattern. On the poster this orderly core reads as a small, dense block of lines.

Misantla Map Poster & Print
Misantla lies inland in the central part of Veracruz, where the land rises from the Gulf coastal plain toward the mountains. The town sits in a valley with a river beside it. Its streets have to deal with slopes, so the regular Spanish-colonial grid you might expect near the plaza soon bends, steps and breaks apart as it meets the hillsides.
From above, the centre is the most orderly part: a few blocks of near-rectangular streets around the main square. Further out, roads follow ridges and stream beds, and the outer neighbourhoods thin into single lanes that climb into farmland. The countryside around Misantla is known for coffee and citrus, and the hills stay green for much of the year.
A Misantla map poster shows that shift from grid to terrain very clearly. A compact core sits at the centre, and irregular lines spread outward in every direction the land allows. The result is an intimate, detailed composition that looks nothing like a flat coastal city.

River edge
A river runs along the valley and limits how the town can spread. It adds a soft, winding line against the straighter streets of the centre.
Climbing outskirts
Beyond the centre, streets follow ridges and gullies up into the hills. These loose, branching lines give the outer part of the map its organic, hand-drawn look.
