Road junction
The town grew where several roads meet, and this junction remains the clear focal point of the composition from which other routes lead away.

Mungaa Map Poster & Print
Mungaa lies in the Singida Region, in the dry heart of Tanzania's central plateau. From above, the town is a modest cluster of streets where a few main roads meet, surrounded by open land. Beyond the centre, homesteads and farm plots are spread widely, joined by tracks that branch and fork in an irregular pattern.
The plateau is broad and fairly flat, with the occasional seasonal stream bed crossing the land. Rainfall is limited in this part of the country, and settlement tends to follow roads and places where farming is possible. A Mungaa map poster reflects this simple structure: a small, denser centre and a thin web of lines reaching outward.
Small towns like this rarely appear on printed maps, yet they are home for thousands of people and a familiar crossroads for many more. Drawn in black and white, Mungaa's layout becomes a clean, honest record of how a plateau town is organised, without any need for decoration or embellishment.

Open plateau
Wide, lightly settled land surrounds the town, leaving plenty of white space on the map and emphasising the compact built-up area at its centre.
Branching tracks
Minor tracks and paths fork across the countryside toward farms and homesteads, drawing a fine, irregular network around the main roads.
