Streets and lanes wind between family compounds, producing an irregular, organic network rather than a grid, which gives the map a distinctive texture.

Nafada Map Poster & Print
Nafada is a town in Gombe State in northeastern Nigeria and the headquarters of a local government area of the same name. It lies in the savanna country of the Gongola River basin, where wide stretches of farmland and scrub separate towns, and seasonal waterways cross the landscape.
From above, Nafada forms a compact settlement with an irregular network of streets and compounds, the pattern of many northern Nigerian towns that grew around family plots rather than a planned grid. Roads lead out toward Gombe and neighbouring areas, drawing long lines across the open ground.
A Nafada map poster is a spare and honest print, showing a town centred on its lanes and compounds, surrounded by open land. The contrast between the close texture at its core and the space around it gives the map its character.
