Norland Map Poster & Print
Norland is a residential area in northern Miami-Dade County, Florida, now largely within the city of Miami Gardens. From above, it shows the typical south Florida pattern: a regular grid of streets on flat land, bordered by major arterial roads and crossed by drainage canals.
The area developed mainly in the mid-twentieth century as part of Miami's expansion northward, with single-family homes on rectangular lots, parks and schools set into the grid. Canals and small lakes are part of the region's water management system and appear as clean blue lines on the map.
A Norland map poster shows a quiet, ordered piece of the Miami metropolitan area: straight residential blocks, a few curving streets and cul-de-sacs, green spaces, and canals running through the plan. It is a clear, calm portrait of a south Florida neighbourhood.
