Branching lanes
Narrow roads split and rejoin across the area, forming a dense, irregular network. It looks almost like leaf veins on the poster.

Palugal Map Poster & Print
Palugal lies in Kanyakumari district, the southernmost part of Tamil Nadu, close to the border with Kerala. This corner of India is green and humid, and the landscape resembles Kerala more than the drier Tamil plains. Settlements spread widely through groves and fields rather than forming compact centres.
From above, this spread-out pattern produces a web of narrow roads and lanes that curve through the countryside. Houses sit along them in loose chains. There is no strict grid. Streams and small water bodies interrupt the network and add a few natural shapes to the map.
A Palugal map poster suits someone who knows this district personally, perhaps a family that has lived here for generations or someone who has moved away for work. The print shows a place defined less by landmarks than by an intricate network of lanes.

Dispersed settlement
Homes line the roads instead of clustering in a single centre. As a result, the built pattern is spread evenly across the frame.
Water features
Small streams and ponds break up the network of lanes. Their soft outlines contrast with the thin linework of the roads.
