Pejë Map Poster & Print
Pejë lies in western Kosovo, at the foot of the Accursed Mountains, where the Rugova Gorge opens onto the plain. On a map, the Pećka Bistrica river flows straight out of the mountains and through the middle of town. The streets of the centre and the old bazaar gather along its banks, and the town spreads out toward the flat land to the east.
Just west of the centre stands the Patriarchate of Peć. It is a complex of medieval churches and part of a UNESCO World Heritage listing. The Rugova Gorge above town is known for hiking, climbing and a winding road into the mountains. The town also gives its name to a well-known local beer.
A Pejë map poster shows the moment where a gorge meets a town: the river emerging from the hills, the dense old centre, and the grid spreading onto the plain. It is a good keepsake for the diaspora and for travellers who have walked in the Rugova valley.

Rugova Gorge
West of town, the valley narrows into a deep canyon into the mountains. On the map, a single road follows the river into the high country.
Patriarchate of Peć
The medieval monastery complex sits at the edge of town, near the mouth of the gorge. Its walled grounds form a quiet enclave on the western side.
