Quinta Do Conde Map Poster & Print
Quinta do Conde is a parish of Sesimbra on the Setúbal peninsula, south of the Tagus across from Lisbon. It grew quickly in the late twentieth century as farmland was subdivided into small housing plots. From above, that history shows as an unusually regular pattern: long, parallel streets and narrow rectangular lots packed closely together.
Pine woodland and open land surround the built-up area, so the grid has clear edges where it meets the trees. Major roads toward Lisbon, Setúbal and Sesimbra pass nearby, and the Serra da Arrábida rises further south, although the town itself sits on fairly flat ground.
A Quinta do Conde map poster is all about repetition. The streets run in orderly bands, interrupted only by a few diagonal roads and open squares. It is a modern suburban landscape rather than a historic centre, and in black and white its structure becomes striking and almost textile-like.

Pine woodland edges
Stands of pine surround much of the town, giving the dense grid clear edges where the streets stop and the trees begin.
Peninsula setting
The town lies on the Setúbal peninsula between Lisbon and Sesimbra, with major roads nearby linking it to both sides of the Tagus region.
