Ramsbottom Map Poster & Print
Ramsbottom sits in the valley of the River Irwell, north of Bury in Greater Manchester. Its map shows a classic Pennine mill town: a compact centre of terraced streets running down towards the river, with the railway line following the valley floor and the moorland rising steeply to the west.
Above the town stands Holcombe Hill, crowned by the Peel Monument, a stone tower built in memory of Sir Robert Peel. Ramsbottom is also a stop on the East Lancashire Railway, a heritage line with steam trains running along the valley between Bury and Rawtenstall.
A Ramsbottom map poster captures the town's layered shape: the river and the railway threading the valley, the tight grid of streets climbing from them and the open slopes above. It suits anyone who grew up here, walked up to the tower or rode the steam trains through the valley.
