Rasht Map Poster & Print
Rasht lies on the humid lowland of Gilan, a short distance inland from the Caspian coast, and the map shows a city spreading across flat, well-watered ground. Two small rivers, the Goharrud and the Zarjub, run roughly north through the urban area. Around the edges, the built-up blocks give way to the rice fields and wet lowland that define this corner of northern Iran.
As the capital of Gilan Province, Rasht has long been a trading town between Iran and the Caspian world. In 2015 it joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for gastronomy, a nod to Gilani cooking with its herbs, fish and rice. The city is also known for its frequent rain, which feeds the dense greenery around it.
A Rasht map poster centres on the historic core around the municipal square, where the main streets meet, and follows them outward across the plain. The two rivers add loose, winding lines to an otherwise dense grid. On a sheet, the result feels soft and green even in black and white, a clear contrast to Iran's desert cities.

Municipal square
The square in front of the municipality building is the meeting point of the central streets and the natural centre of the map.
Lowland edges
At the city's edges the blocks thin out into fields and wetland, a reminder that the Caspian plain and its rice paddies begin right at the outskirts.

ဘာကြောင့် Rasht
အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
Rasht means rain, food and the green north to many Iranians, and a map of its streets holds all of that in one quiet print. It makes a good gift for someone from Gilan or anyone who remembers a visit there.
The title can carry the city name in Persian or English, the subtitle a date or a name, and the coordinates line a specific address. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
