Llanos grid
On completely flat land the town is laid out in even, rectangular blocks, giving the poster a steady rhythm from one edge of the settled area to the other.

Sabaneta Map Poster & Print
Sabaneta is a small town in the state of Barinas, in the Venezuelan llanos, the vast lowland plains that stretch between the Andes and the Orinoco. The land here is flat, and the town reads on a map as a neat, low-density grid with roads leading out across open ground in almost straight lines.
The town is widely known as the birthplace of Hugo Chávez, who was born here in 1954 and grew up in the area before going on to lead Venezuela. Beyond that, Sabaneta is an agricultural community, and the surrounding fields and ranch land shape the character of the place far more than any urban feature.
A Sabaneta map poster is a study in plains geometry. There are no hills to bend the streets, so the blocks are regular and the edges of town are defined by field boundaries and rural roads. The result is a spare, quiet composition with plenty of open space.

Roads across the plain
Long, straight rural roads leave town in several directions, the typical pattern of the llanos where distances are large and the terrain offers no obstacles.
Open surroundings
Farmland and pasture surround the built-up area, so the map shows the town as a compact block set within a wide, empty margin.
