Crossroads centre
The town grew around its main road, and the densest part of the map sits where the through routes meet. Side streets fan out from there into residential lanes.

Seka Map Poster & Print
Seka lies in Bueng Kan, in the far northeast of Thailand, on the flat country south of the Mekong. From above, the town is a modest cluster of streets around a main road, with houses lining the routes that lead out towards surrounding villages. Beyond that the map opens into farmland, where field boundaries, small reservoirs and plantation rows make up most of the pattern.
Bueng Kan is Thailand's newest province. It was split off from Nong Khai in 2011, and Seka is one of its district towns. The area is agricultural, and on a map that shows up as long straight roads, scattered settlements and the fine lines of tracks leading off into the fields, not dense urban blocks.
A Seka map poster is spare, which suits the minimalist style. A handful of main roads, the lanes branching off them and the water features in between are enough to give the town a clear character. The result looks almost like a diagram of rural Isan life, with each village linked to the next by a single line.

Ponds and reservoirs
Small bodies of water appear across the surrounding countryside as solid shapes. They break up the flat farmland and give the poster points of weight.
Rural road network
Straight roads link Seka to nearby villages and to the rest of Bueng Kan province, drawing long lines across an otherwise open landscape.
