Upper old town
Siderno Superiore sits inland on the hillside, a cluster of tight, bending streets that looks almost hand-drawn compared with the modern town by the sea.

Siderno Map Poster & Print
Siderno reads as two places on one map. Inland, on the slopes, the old upper town keeps its narrow, winding lanes. Down on the coast, the marina district spreads out in a straighter pattern of streets running parallel to the shore. Between them, roads climb and zigzag through the hills, stitching the two halves together.
The town belongs to the Locride, the stretch of Ionian coastline in southern Calabria. Along the beach, the coastal railway and main road run side by side, drawing a long line that the whole seafront grid is organised around. East of the tracks there is only sand and the smooth edge of the sea.
A Siderno map poster shows that relationship between hill and shore very clearly. The irregular lanes above and the ordered blocks below make an honest portrait of how many southern Italian towns moved toward the water over time, while keeping their older centres on higher ground.

Seafront grid
The marina district follows the coastline in long, parallel streets, with the railway and coastal road running beside the beach like ruled lines.
Ionian shoreline
A clean, gently curving coast forms the eastern edge of the map, leaving a wide calm field of sea on one side of the composition.
