Ciénagas
Shallow swamp lakes around the town appear as broad, irregular shapes. Their edges change with the seasons, and they dominate wider views of the map.

Sucre Map Poster & Print
Sucre is a municipality in the department of the same name, in La Mojana, a vast lowland in northern Colombia shaped by the Cauca, San Jorge and Magdalena rivers. The town sits on low ground among water channels and ciénagas, the shallow swamp lakes that expand and shrink with the seasons. Here the map is as much about water as about streets.
The urban area is small and compact, a tight arrangement of blocks beside a waterway, with roads leading out across flat terrain. Beyond it the lines turn irregular: winding channels, lagoons with ragged shores and paths along the higher ground. A Sucre map poster turns this delicate balance between settlement and wetland into a composition of fine, flowing strokes.
Life in La Mojana has long followed the rhythm of the water. People fish, farm land that floods and dries, and travel by boat as well as by road. Flooding is a recurring challenge in the region. On paper that dependence is plain to see: the town looks almost like an island in a web of rivers and marsh.

The town's compact street pattern gathers along the water, a small, dense cluster of blocks set against the open lowlands.
Winding channels
Watercourses loop across the flat Mojana landscape, drawing organic lines that look especially fine in the Blueprint style.
