Valley-floor streets
The main built-up area stretches along level valley ground, so the town takes a long, narrow shape instead of the compact cluster typical of settlements on the plains.

Tangfang Map Poster & Print
Tangfang lies in the mountainous northeast of Chongqing municipality, a region of high ridges and deep valleys that drain toward the Yangtze. On a map, the land decides almost everything. Buildings gather on whatever level ground a valley offers, and roads climb and switch back to connect settlements separated by steep slopes.
This is not a place built on a planned grid. Its streets follow contour lines and watercourses, so the town looks stretched out rather than square. In this terrain the pattern of a settlement tells you where it was possible to build, and the map records that very directly.
A Tangfang map poster shows those elongated shapes: a main road running along a valley, side lanes branching off at angles, and long curving routes into the hills. The empty spaces between them are as much a part of the design as the lines, and they give the poster the calm, open feel of mountain country.

Switchback roads
Roads leaving town climb the surrounding slopes in tight bends, drawing zigzag patterns that stand out clearly in black and white.
Mountain watercourses
Streams run down between the ridges, and their curving lines trace the valleys that shaped where people could build.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
Mountain towns make striking posters because the land's contours show through the road pattern. For anyone with roots in the Chongqing highlands, this map brings back steep streets and river valleys without needing a photograph.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates line to mark a home address or a family place. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir works especially well for dense terrain lines.
