Kilimanjaro slope
The town lies on the mountain's eastern side, so its roads and watercourses share one downhill direction. That gives the whole sheet a subtle sense of fall and flow.

Tarakea Map Poster & Print
Tarakea sits high on the eastern flank of Kilimanjaro in the Rombo district, close to the border with Kenya. On a map the town is a loose knot of roads where the mountain's slopes begin to level out. Small farm plots and homesteads are scattered in every direction instead of being packed into a grid. The terrain shaped this pattern more than any plan did.
Streams and seasonal gullies run downhill from the mountain, and the local roads tend to follow or cross them, which gives the linework a gently radiating quality. Around the centre, market streets and a few main routes collect traffic from the surrounding villages. Beyond them the network thins into tracks that fade into cultivated land. From above, the density falls away quickly at every edge.
A Tarakea map poster keeps all of this in a restrained black-and-white drawing: the heavier lines of the through roads, the fine mesh of paths and the empty spaces where fields take over. It suits anyone with ties to Rombo or the wider Kilimanjaro region. It also records a place that rarely appears on printed maps at this scale.

Border setting
The Kenyan border runs close by. The town's principal roads connect it to the frontier and to neighbouring districts, and they are drawn as the strongest lines against a lighter local network.
Scattered homesteads
Instead of a compact centre, much of the area is made up of dispersed farm plots and footpaths. On paper they produce a fine, irregular texture around the town core.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
People hang a map of Tarakea because it is home, or because a trip up Kilimanjaro's quieter eastern side stayed with them. The drawing is a reminder of place that doesn't depend on a photograph, and it sits calmly in a hallway or study.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, with a family name or a date that matters. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD digital files cost $9, or you can order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
