Canals and channels
A web of narrow waterways runs through the area, often right beside the roads, and gives the map a layered, doubled pattern of lines.

Thaikkattussery Map Poster & Print
Thaikkattussery lies in the low, watery country of central Kerala, near the wide expanse of Vembanad Lake. From above it hardly looks like a town at all: houses line the narrow roads and canals in long strips, with coconut gardens and paddy land between them. The land is almost flat, and water appears in every direction, in channels, ponds and the open lake nearby.
Settlement here follows the water rather than a planned grid. Lanes run along the banks, small bridges cross the canals, and the built-up area spreads out in a thin network instead of gathering into a single centre. It is a typical pattern for the backwater region, where land and water have long been worked side by side.
A Thaikkattussery map poster turns this intricate network into a delicate composition of fine, curving lines. Waterways and lanes run parallel and cross one another, and the lake edge gives a broad, calm shape to one side of the frame. It is a gentle, detailed print that rewards a closer look.

Linear village roads
Houses line the roads in long, continuous ribbons rather than blocks, so the settlement reads as a network instead of a single dense centre.
Lakeside edge
The nearby backwaters form wide, smooth areas of open water that set off the fine detail of the inhabited land.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
Many Keralites live far from home, and a map of the village where they grew up is a quiet, personal reminder of the canals and lanes they remember. It also makes a thoughtful gift for family members abroad.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a house name or a date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download 300 DPI files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
