Ticul Map Poster & Print
Ticul lies in the south of Yucatán state, where the flat limestone plain meets the low ridge of the Puuc hills. The town follows a classic colonial plan. A regular grid of numbered streets is centred on a main plaza and church, with blocks stretching evenly in every direction. On a map that grid stands out crisply against the surrounding scrubland and fields.
The town is known across Yucatán for its pottery and shoemaking, and it is a common base for visiting Uxmal and other Maya sites along the Ruta Puuc. A large colonial church anchors the centre and faces the plaza, where much of daily life takes place.
A Ticul map poster shows the precision of the old grid. The plaza is a clear focal point, and the roads to neighbouring towns lead out through the countryside. To the south the land begins to rise, hinting at the Puuc hills beyond. The result is structured, calm and easy to recognise.

Central plaza
The main square and its church sit at the heart of the grid, a clear open space surrounded by the densest blocks.
Edge of the Puuc
South of town the flat plain gives way to low hills. Roads head in that direction toward the archaeological sites of the Puuc route.
