Tohāna Map Poster & Print
Tohāna lies in Fatehabad district in northern Haryana, close to the border with Punjab. The land is almost perfectly flat, and the town sits in the middle of a wide agricultural plain. From above, the old centre forms a dense knot, while newer streets and colonies spread outward in more regular blocks.
Canals are among the defining features of this region, carrying irrigation water across the plain in long, straight lines. Around the town, fields are divided into neat rectangles, and roads run to neighbouring towns in almost straight paths. On a print, these lines give the map a measured, calm structure.
Tohāna is a market town for the surrounding farmland, trading in grain and other crops grown across this part of Haryana. A Tohāna map poster shows how a small town and its canals fit into one of India's most productive agricultural landscapes.
