Hilltop centre
The historic core sits on higher ground, and the main roads leave it along the ridges. On the poster, this creates a star-like shape that is easy to recognise.

Waldbröl Map Poster & Print
Waldbröl is a town in the Oberbergischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia, east of Cologne and Bonn, in the hilly, forested country of the Bergisches Land. As its name suggests, woodland is never far away. On a map, the town centre sits on higher ground, with roads leaving it along ridges and dropping into the surrounding valleys.
The centre is compact, with a main street and market area that form the densest part of the network. Beyond it, residential neighbourhoods spread out in irregular shapes that follow the terrain rather than a grid. Further out, small villages and farmsteads are scattered across fields and forest, each linked by winding country lanes.
A Waldbröl map poster captures a type of German landscape that is rarely printed: a small upland town whose layout comes entirely from its hills. The streets curve and branch in a way that looks almost organic from above. On the edge of town, the Panarbora nature park and its treetop walkway show that the forest remains part of daily life.

Terrain-led streets
The residential streets bend with the slopes and valleys instead of following a grid. The result is a loose, flowing pattern that makes the map feel hand-drawn.
Villages and forest
Small outlying villages dot the surrounding countryside, joined by narrow lanes through woods and fields. They fill the edges of the print with fine, scattered detail.
