Watampone Map Poster & Print
Watampone is the main town of Bone Regency, on the eastern side of South Sulawesi. On the map it forms a compact centre of streets on low ground, with neighbourhoods reaching out along the main roads and rice fields and farmland filling the spaces between them. The Gulf of Bone lies a short distance to the east.
The town was the seat of the Bone kingdom, one of the most influential Bugis states in Sulawesi, and it is still a cultural centre for the Bugis people. That history lies behind its role as the administrative heart of the regency today.
A Watampone map poster shows a regional town in simple, legible form: a denser core, a few main roads leading out, and a softer pattern of fields around it. The layout does not rely on dramatic features. Its appeal is in proportion and in how clearly it belongs to a place.

Roads outward
Main roads leave the town toward the coast and other parts of the regency. They form strong, direct lines through the surrounding countryside.
Farmland around
Rice fields and cultivated land surround the town. Their shapes give the outer parts of the poster a quiet, uneven texture.
