Limestone quarries
Wide, terraced quarry basins lie next to the town. Their stepped edges and flooded floors produce some of the most distinctive shapes on the whole map.

Wülfrath Map Poster & Print
Wülfrath sits on the hills between the Ruhr and Wuppertal, in the district of Mettmann. From above, the most striking feature is not the town itself but what lies next to it: large limestone quarries, cut in terraces and filled in places with water. Their clean, stepped outlines contrast with the irregular streets of the old centre and the housing on the surrounding slopes.
Limestone has shaped Wülfrath for generations and still drives its economy. The Zeittunnel, a former quarry railway tunnel that now serves as a geological exhibition, leads visitors through millions of years of rock. Beyond the quarries, the map turns to farmland, woods and small valleys typical of the Bergisches Land.
A Wülfrath map poster sets an industrial landscape next to a small town. The quarry rims draw near-architectural shapes on the page, while the streets of the centre fill in around a small historic core. It is an unusual composition for a German town and reads well in strong black and white.

Hilltop centre
The old centre of Wülfrath sits on raised ground, with streets radiating outward and falling away toward the valleys and the surrounding villages.
Bergisch countryside
Past the built-up area, the map shows a rolling mix of fields, woodland and small streams, the landscape that separates Wülfrath from Wuppertal and Velbert.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
For people who grew up around the quarries or worked in the limestone industry, this map is a very personal view of home. Anyone who likes landscapes shaped by human hands will enjoy the contrast it draws.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a year or a district. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir makes the quarry outlines especially dramatic.
