Yazman Map Poster & Print
Yazman is a town in Bahawalpur District in the south of Punjab, Pakistan. It sits at an edge: to one side, land watered by the canal system of the Punjab plains, and to the other, the drier country leading into the Cholistan Desert. On a map this makes for a striking contrast between dense, gridded farmland and large, almost empty areas.
The town itself forms a compact cluster of streets and bazaars, with roads leading out toward Bahawalpur and the surrounding villages. Irrigation channels run in straight lines across the cultivated land, dividing it into regular fields. Further south the network of roads and channels fades, and the drawing becomes sparse.
Yazman is often described as a gateway toward Cholistan, and that sense of threshold shows clearly from above. A Yazman map poster keeps the town at the centre and lets the transition from canal country to desert fill the frame, a simple and honest image of the region.

Desert margin
Toward the Cholistan the lines on the map thin out, leaving wide open spaces that give the poster its distinctive empty areas.
Town centre
The compact core of streets and markets sits where the main roads meet, a small dense point in a very open landscape.
