Valley corridor
The town follows a narrow east-west valley, so its streets, railway and river run close together and give the map a strong horizontal rhythm from edge to edge.

Yima Map Poster & Print
Yima sits in the hill country of western Henan, between the larger cities of Luoyang and Sanmenxia. From above it reads as a linear town. Rather than spreading outwards in rings, it stretches along a valley floor, with streets, rail lines and a river corridor laid out almost in parallel. Slopes press in from both sides and keep the built area narrow.
The town grew around coal. Mining gave Yima its purpose in the twentieth century, and on a map this shows as rail sidings, works compounds and blocks of housing set close to the transport line. Newer districts fill the flatter ground. Their straighter streets contrast with the older lanes, which follow the bends of the valley.
In black and white, the town becomes a study in direction. A Yima map poster brings out the east-west pull of the place: everything lines up along one corridor, framed by the blank contours of the hills. It suits someone who grew up here or worked in the mines, or anyone who likes maps that show at a glance how a town was built.

Railway line
A main rail line runs through Yima, linking it with Luoyang to the east and Sanmenxia to the west. Its tracks are one of the clearest lines on the poster.
Mining landscape
Coal shaped the town. Industrial sites with their sidings and compounds sit among the residential blocks and give parts of the map a coarser, more angular texture.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
People hang a map of Yima because it is home, or was once a place of work, and few printed images of the town exist. The valley plan is simple enough to read from across a room, yet detailed enough to trace familiar streets up close.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a family name or the year you left, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
