Old town core
Closely packed lanes form a dense centre. Their irregular pattern contrasts with the straight lines of the surrounding farmland.

Laungowāl Map Poster & Print
Laungowāl lies in Sangrur district in the Malwa region of Punjab. The land around it is level and intensively farmed. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets and houses surrounded by rectangular fields, irrigation channels and rural roads that run straight to the next village.
The town is best known for Sant Harchand Singh Longowal, the Sikh political leader who took his name from it, and for the engineering institute named after him on the edge of town. The campus, with its planned blocks and open grounds, sits apart from the denser old core.
A Laungowāl map poster shows that contrast clearly. The historic streets are tight and irregular, the institute campus is laid out more formally, and the field boundaries around both have a regular geometry typical of the Punjab plains. In monochrome, this landscape looks almost like a textile.

Institute campus
The Sant Longowal Institute has its own planned layout of buildings, roads and open grounds, which sits distinctly beside the town.
Field patterns
Rectangular plots and straight tracks cover the plain on all sides. They give the outer poster a fine, regular texture.
