Quattro Canti crossing
Two straight historic streets meet at the centre of the old town. They cut its tangled lanes into four quarters and give the map an instantly recognisable cross.

Palermo Map Poster & Print
Palermo lies on the north coast of Sicily, in a plain long known as the Conca d'Oro, the golden shell. Mountains enclose it, and it opens onto a broad bay of the Tyrrhenian Sea. On a map the city fills almost the whole plain, with the harbour at its centre, the headland of Monte Pellegrino rising sharply to the north, and the mountains closing the view inland.
The historic centre is one of the largest in Italy, and its structure is easy to read from above. Via Maqueda and Via Vittorio Emanuele, the ancient Cassaro, cross at right angles at the Quattro Canti and divide the old city into four traditional quarters. Around this cross the street pattern is dense and irregular, full of alleys and markets such as Ballarò and the Vucciria.
Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans and Spaniards all left their mark, and UNESCO lists the Arab-Norman monuments of Palermo, including the Palatine Chapel and the cathedral. North of the old centre, the nineteenth-century city extends along Via Libertà in straighter, wider blocks. A Palermo map poster shows these layers between the mountains and the sea.

Monte Pellegrino
The massive limestone headland north of the city stands between the port and the bay of Mondello. On the map it leaves a large, empty shape against the coast.
Via Libertà
This long, tree-lined avenue runs north from the old centre and sets the axis for the orderly nineteenth- and early twentieth-century districts beyond the historic core.

किन Palermo
अर्थपूर्ण नक्सा
Palermo is a city of roots and returns: a grandparent's street, a year of study, a summer that changed things. A poster brings some of that intensity into a quiet room. Add a family name, a quarter or a date to the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates precisely.
The coast and the dense centre look superb in Noir and Classic black & white, while Sand and Paper recall the city's warm stone. Blueprint gives a cartographic edge. Check the free 900 px preview first, then download six HD sizes for $9 with no watermark or order a framed or unframed print.
