Pinamungahan is a municipality on the western side of Cebu island in the Central Visayas, facing the Tañon Strait. On the map, the coastline forms one clear edge, while the land rises inland toward the hills that run through the centre of the island. The town centre sits near the coast, with roads spreading out to outlying barangays.
The built-up core is compact, with a small network of streets near the shore, a coastal road running north and south, and roads leading inland. Beyond this, the map becomes more open, with farmland, scattered settlements and winding routes following the slopes and valleys of the interior.
