Abong Mbang Map Poster & Print
Abong Mbang is in the East Region of Cameroon, on the upper Nyong River, in a landscape dominated by tropical rainforest. It is the administrative centre of the Haut-Nyong department. From above, the town looks like a cluster of streets and compounds cut out of the forest. The river and its wide, marshy floodplain are its most prominent natural feature.
The main road linking the area with Yaoundé to the west and Bertoua to the northeast runs through the town, and the settlement stretches along it before thinning out into villages and plantations.
