Irrigation canals
Thin channels carry river water across the valley. Their lines mark field edges and guide rural roads, giving the whole map a quiet sense of direction.

Albardón Map Poster & Print
Albardón is a department in the Tulum Valley, just north of the city of San Juan, in one of Argentina's driest wine regions. From above, it is clearly an oasis. A modest urban core is surrounded by long, narrow parcels of vineyards and orchards, and these parcels are shaped by the irrigation canals that bring water down from the San Juan River.
The canals run as fine lines along field boundaries, and rural roads follow many of them. The result is a grid that is slightly irregular, because it answers to the flow of water rather than to a surveyor's ruler. To the east, the cultivated land ends where bare foothills begin, and the map changes abruptly from dense detail to open ground.
An Albardón map poster captures the contrast between farmed land and desert that defines life in San Juan. The layout of vineyard rows, canal lines and small town blocks prints with a fine, even texture, and the empty land at the edges gives the composition room to breathe.

Vineyard parcels
Long, narrow plots surround the town and form a repeating striped pattern that covers much of the poster outside the urban centre.
Desert edge
Where irrigation ends, the detail stops abruptly and dry foothills take over, so the edge of the oasis appears as a sharp line.

The poster is for people who know the valley from harvest seasons, family fincas or the road north from San Juan. It shows how water shapes a place, a subject that suits a kitchen, a dining room or a small wine corner.
Add your own title and subtitle, write coordinates for a specific vineyard or house, and include a date if you like. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand each give the canal lines a different mood.
