Ban Chalong is a community in southern Phuket, Thailand, on the shore of Chalong Bay. The bay is a wide, sheltered inlet on the island's east coast. Chalong Pier juts out into it and serves as a departure point for boats to nearby islands. From above, the coastline and pier are the first features you notice.
Inland, the roads meet at a busy roundabout and spread out through the lowlands. Wat Chalong, the largest and most visited Buddhist temple on Phuket, is a short distance from the bay.
