Banderilla Map Poster & Print
Banderilla lies a short distance north of Xalapa, where the land starts to rise from the coastal side of Veracruz toward the high plateau. The map shows a town shaped by its terrain. Streets follow the contours, bend around ravines and sometimes stop at a steep slope, and the main road through town climbs toward Perote and the highlands.
The area is known for a cool, humid climate, frequent mist and dense greenery, and this shows even in a plain line drawing. Built-up blocks sit between patches of farmland and woodland, and the edges of the town merge with the northern neighbourhoods of the Xalapa area. From above there is no sharp line between Banderilla and its neighbour.
A Banderilla map poster shows a mountain town without a simple outline. Irregular blocks gather around the centre, roads branch off along the ridges, and open ground fills the gaps. The result has an organic, hand-drawn look, suited to anyone who knows this road out of Xalapa.

Contour-following streets
Many streets bend with the slopes and ravines instead of forming a grid, giving the town an irregular, organic pattern.
Green margins
Farmland and wooded slopes press close to the built-up area, leaving open spaces between neighbourhoods at the edges of town.

A map of Banderilla means something to people who grew up in the hills above Xalapa or moved here for its cooler air. The winding streets make an interesting drawing, far from the rigid grids of the plains.
You can set your own title and subtitle, keep or change the coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
