Ciudad López Mateos is the urban core of Atizapán de Zaragoza, on the northwestern side of Greater Mexico City. It is named after Adolfo López Mateos, the president who governed Mexico from 1958 to 1964. From above, it looks nothing like the flat grids of the basin floor.
