Củ Chi sits on the northwestern edge of Ho Chi Minh City, where the dense street grid of the metropolis gives way to open country. From above, the map is dominated by long roads running toward Tây Ninh and the Cambodian border, with smaller lanes branching off between farm plots, orchards and plantations.
