Devarkonda is a town in Nalgonda district, Telangana, set in a landscape of granite outcrops and dry farmland. Its best-known landmark is Devarakonda Fort, a medieval hill fortress spread across a group of rocky hills beside the town and associated with the Recherla Velama rulers. The town centre is a dense tangle of lanes, typical of an older South Indian market town, with main roads leading out toward Hyderabad and other district towns.
