Djakotomé is a commune town in the Kouffo department of south-western Benin, close to the border with Togo. From above, the settlement spreads around its main roads with an open, low-density pattern. Compounds, courtyards and small lanes fill the spaces between the routes, and the edges blend gradually into farmland instead of stopping at a clear boundary.
The Kouffo area is agricultural, with fields, oil palms and scattered villages across gently undulating ground.
