Douglasville Map Poster & Print
Douglasville lies west of Atlanta, along Interstate 20, in the rolling Piedmont country of Georgia. Its historic downtown follows the railroad line in a narrow, straight strip. Beyond that, the map changes character: curving subdivision streets, cul-de-sacs and wooded creek valleys fill the land north and south of the interstate.
The city is the seat of Douglas County, and it grew around the railroad in the late nineteenth century. Today it is a major suburb of metro Atlanta. Sweetwater Creek State Park, with its mill ruins and rocky creek, lies in the county just to the east. On a map, the park's green space breaks up the suburban pattern.
A Douglasville map poster brings together two eras of growth: the tidy downtown rail corridor and the looping cul-de-sacs of later decades. In black and white, the contrast between straight and curved lines is especially clear, and the interstate running through town becomes a bold horizontal stroke.

Interstate 20
I-20 cuts across Douglasville from east to west. Its interchanges and service roads form a strong line through the middle of the print.
Suburban loops
Beyond downtown, streets curl into cul-de-sacs and winding loops that follow creeks and hills, creating a dense, looping texture.
