Enfield Lock sits in the northeast corner of the London Borough of Enfield, where the city meets the Lee Valley. On a map the east is dominated by water: the River Lea, the Lee Navigation with its lock and the large reservoirs beyond. The area is best known as the site of the Royal Small Arms Factory, which gave its name to the Lee-Enfield rifle.
