Folegandros is a thin, elongated island in the southern Cyclades. Its outline is lean and angular, and along much of the coast high cliffs drop straight into the Aegean. A single main road runs along the spine of the island, linking the port to the Chora and continuing north to the scattered farmsteads of Ano Meria.
