Gunpo Map Poster & Print
Gunpo is a city in Gyeonggi Province, just south of Seoul, part of the dense ring of communities around the capital. It is relatively small in area, and much of its land is hill and forest. From above, compact residential districts fill the valleys and flatter ground, while the wooded mass of Surisan rises along its edge and shapes the city's outline.
Sanbon, one of the first-generation new towns built around Seoul in the late 1980s and early 1990s, gives much of Gunpo its character.
