Hadyach Map Poster & Print
Hadyach is in the Poltava region of central Ukraine, on the Psel, a tributary of the Dnipro that winds slowly across the plain. The river has a wide, marshy floodplain with oxbows and meadows, and the town is built on the higher bank above it, so water and wetland are a large part of the map.
The street plan is a mixture of older irregular lanes near the historic centre and a looser grid of low houses and gardens further out. Roads leave the town across the floodplain towards neighbouring villages. From above, the dark curling line of the Psel and its old channels contrasts clearly with the rectangular blocks on the bank.
Hadyach gave its name to the Treaty of Hadiach of 1658, an agreement between the Cossack Hetmanate and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth that is still studied as a turning point in Ukrainian history. A Hadyach map poster suits people with roots in the Poltava region and anyone interested in the old Cossack towns.

Floodplain meadows
Wide empty areas beside the river mark meadows and wetland, leaving calm open space between the water and the town.
Town on the bank
The town sits on the higher ground above the river, with a compact centre and a looser grid of houses and gardens around it.

For Ukrainians at home and abroad, a map of Hadyach keeps a family town close. For others it is a quiet piece of Cossack history shown as a river and its streets.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, in Ukrainian or English, for example with a family name or a year. Choose from five styles and download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
