Hulan Ergi, better known as Fularji, is a district of Qiqihar in western Heilongjiang, set on the Nen River some distance southwest of the city centre. The land here is part of the wide Songnen Plain, flat and open, and the river winds across it in loops and side channels. On a map, the district's streets sit close to the water on otherwise empty ground.
Fularji grew into an industrial centre in the 1950s, with large heavy-industry plants, power stations and rail sidings.
