Isleworth lies on the north bank of the Thames in the London Borough of Hounslow, across the river from the Old Deer Park and the gardens at Kew. On a map, the river forms its eastern edge, curving past the old riverside village with a small island, Isleworth Ait, sitting in the stream just offshore.
To the north, the large green expanse of Syon Park, with Syon House at its heart, takes up a whole block of the map between the town and Brentford.
