Jagodina is the main town of the Pomoravlje district, in the heart of Serbia near the valley of the Great Morava. The small Belica river flows through the town, and on a map its winding course runs through the centre, with streets and bridges arranged around it.
To one side rises Đurđevo brdo, a wooded hill that serves as the town's main park and recreational area, a patch of open green space against the denser urban blocks. The main Belgrade to Niš motorway passes close to the town, adding a long straight line to the map.
