Kikugawa Map Poster & Print
Kikugawa is in western Shizuoka Prefecture, between the Oi and Tenryu rivers and not far from the Pacific coast. The Kikugawa River runs through the city, and the town centre sits in its valley. On higher ground, the Makinohara plateau and nearby uplands are covered with neat rows of tea bushes.
Green tea is central to the city's identity. Shizuoka is Japan's leading tea-producing prefecture, and the Kikugawa area is one of its well-known growing districts. The Tomei Expressway and the Tokaido Main Line both pass through, linking the city with Hamamatsu and Shizuoka.
A Kikugawa map poster brings together the river winding through the valley, the denser grid of the town, and the long lines of the expressway and railway. Around them lie the plateau fields and wooded slopes. The mix of valley, corridor and upland gives the print a varied and well-balanced texture.

The poster is a thoughtful choice for families from Kikugawa, for people working in the tea trade, or for anyone who has travelled along the Tokaido and noticed the fields on the plateau.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be adjusted to include a name, a date or a Japanese inscription. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the tea-country calm.
