Kuna lies in Ada County, southwest of Boise and south of Meridian, on the high sagebrush plain above the Snake River. From above, the landscape is organised by the American section grid: long straight roads a mile apart, enclosing farms and, more and more, new subdivisions. To the south lies the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, a wide stretch of canyon and desert known for its nesting raptors.
