Mountain spine
A continuous ridge of high peaks runs the length of the island. It leaves almost no level ground and shapes every line on the poster.

Kunoy Map Poster & Print
Kunoy is almost entirely mountain. High peaks run along its length and fall steeply to the fjords on either side, leaving only narrow strips of level land at the shore. On the map, its inhabited places sit on the southern edge. Haraldssund lies by the causeway to Borðoy, and a road runs from there along the coast to the village of Kunoy on the western side.
The causeway made Kunoy part of the road network of the northern islands. On the northeastern coast lies the abandoned village of Skarð. It was given up in the early twentieth century after the men of the village were lost at sea in a single boat accident. Around the village of Kunoy grows a small plantation, a rare patch of trees in a mostly treeless landscape.
A Kunoy map poster is made almost entirely of contour and coast. Two long shorelines run in parallel, the mountain spine rises between them, and a short road follows the southern edge. It is a clear, strong portrait of the steep terrain that shapes the Faroes.

Haraldssund causeway
A causeway at the southern end links Kunoy to Borðoy. It is the short, straight join between the island and the neighbouring town of Klaksvík.
Western village
The village of Kunoy sits on a small level strip along the western shore. A narrow road along the coast leads to it.

For families from Kunoy and Haraldssund, or travellers who crossed the causeway and followed the road to its end, this outline is instantly familiar. Its long, parallel shores fit portrait sizes well, and Sand softens the steepness of the terrain.
Add your own words to the title and subtitle, such as a family name or a date, and pick any of five styles. The $9 package includes six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
