Lyman Map Poster & Print
Lyman is a town in the north of Ukraine's Donetsk region, known for decades as an important railway junction. Between 1925 and 2016 it was called Krasnyi Lyman, and then it went back to its original name. It lies close to the Siverskyi Donets River, in an area of pine forests and small lakes that is unusual for the steppe region around it.
On the map, the railway is the main feature. Tracks converge on the town from several directions and widen into a large yard, and the streets are laid out around them. To the north and west, the built-up area gives way to forest, lakes and the river valley.
