Manila Map Poster & Print
Manila faces west onto Manila Bay, and much of its shape comes from the meeting of that shoreline with the Pasig River, which winds in from Laguna de Bay and cuts the city into northern and southern halves. At the river mouth lies Intramuros, the walled city founded by the Spanish in the sixteenth century, its irregular outline of ramparts still clear in plan.
Around the walls, districts such as Binondo, Tondo, Ermita and Malate fill the land in tightly packed blocks. Binondo is often described as the world's oldest Chinatown, established in 1594. Along the bay, Roxas Boulevard traces a long straight seafront lined with palms, and the port area pushes piers and reclaimed land out into the water north of the old town.
Manila is among the most densely populated cities on earth, and the street network shows it: small blocks, narrow lanes and very little open ground apart from Rizal Park and the green belt around the walls. A Manila map poster captures that density against the smooth expanse of the bay, a contrast that works especially well in monochrome.

Pasig River
The river curves through the centre in a series of bends, crossed by many bridges, and divides the northern districts of Tondo and Binondo from Ermita and Malate to the south.
Roxas Boulevard
This long bayside avenue runs south from Rizal Park along the reclaimed shore, a clean line separating the dense city from the open water where Manila's sunsets are well known.

Manila is where many Filipino family stories begin or pass through, from a childhood in Sampaloc to a first apartment in Malate. A map of the city is a compact way to keep that place in view, whether at home or thousands of kilometres away.
The poster can carry a personal title, a subtitle with a date and a custom coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Noir renders the bay as a deep dark field that makes the street pattern stand out.
