Old Jamestown is an unincorporated community in the far north of St. Louis County, Missouri, where the county narrows toward the meeting of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. Its map is largely residential. Subdivision streets curve across rolling, wooded ground, and a handful of main roads carry traffic toward the rest of the metropolitan area.
Unlike the older inner suburbs with their tight street grids, much of Old Jamestown developed in the later twentieth century, and its layout shows it: loops, cul-de-sacs and long connector roads fitted to the terrain.
