The coastal highway
The main road between Thiruvananthapuram and Kanyakumari runs through the town and sets its direction. Most of the other streets hang off it, like branches on a single stem.

Pārassāla Map Poster & Print
Pārassāla sits on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu, close to the southern tip of the Indian peninsula. From above it has no strict centre. A main road carries traffic between Thiruvananthapuram and Kanyakumari, and the town grows along it. Smaller lanes branch off into land that is dense with coconut palms, homes and small plots, so the map looks more like a loose mesh than a grid.
The railway line on the same coastal route runs close to the highway, and the two lines give the drawing its spine. East of the town the ground rises toward the Western Ghats. To the west the land drops toward the Arabian Sea, crossed by streams and ponds that show up as small breaks in the street pattern. Few of the roads are straight. Most follow field edges and old footpaths.
A Pārassāla map poster keeps that texture. The busy road is drawn heavier, and the dense web of lanes fades out into paler ground. Because it is a border town, the map also shows how two states meet on the ground, with no sharp edge. The streets continue across the line without a break, and in black and white that continuity is easy to see.

Railway alongside
The railway runs roughly parallel to the highway. On the map the two lines form a double spine, with the town's lanes filling the narrow band between them and spilling out on either side.
Lanes among palms
Away from the main road the streets turn soft and irregular. They follow plots and footpaths through low, green land, which gives the poster a fine, hand-drawn texture.

It is often chosen by people who grew up here or whose families came from this corner of the south, where Kerala and Tamil Nadu meet. For them the pattern of the road, the railway and the lanes is a way of carrying home onto a wall.
You can change the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line to mark a family house, a wedding or a year. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
